Indian Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi launched the country’s biggest-ever cleanliness drive, quoting that the Swachh Bharat Mission is beyond politics and inspired by patriotism at Rajpath in New Delhi on 02nd October 2014. We are always driven by some movement or a leader comes forward to show us the right path. I do not hesitate to even cite the example of Anna Hazare who initiated the India against corruption movement and literally we supported him with complete zeal and enthuse. But what is the outcome, things got vanished in a just few months. This is the sad part of every Indian story started as a movement. We hope this clean movement of India will become the mass movement and every citizen of the country should come ahead to make this mission successful.

To do us proud, Mawlynnong Village – we can learn from the tribesman of Khasi in Meghalaya. Believe us; if you go there you might get confused as you were in countryside in a different continent and not in India. The village is crowned with “Gods Own Garden”, “Asia’s cleanest village” and many other names. Tourists coming from different part of the world strongly felt that all Indian should visit this unique village and learn the habits of keeping their surroundings clean and green. A movement or mission is not required for this important work. A credentials example has been already set by the true Indian villagers.

On the eve of Independence Day also PM Modi had spoken much about making India clean and healthy place. We also strongly feel that the PM Modi should take his entire team to visit this remote village of Meghalaya. No movement, no mission, no speech, no leader still clean and green since the village came in to existence.
